OUR STORY
It started with a simple idea… and a pile of wood.
Carson and Cameron Hart aren’t your typical students. While most kids their age are tied to screens, these two brothers are outside—splitting wood, stacking bundles, and figuring out how to build something of their own. Southern Sticks Firewood wasn’t handed to them; it started with hard work, a few tools, and a question: “What if we could build a business ourselves?”
What began as helping around the house quickly turned into a simple solution for the community. The brothers saw that while people always need firewood, it’s not always convenient to find. They decided to place self-service stands throughout the community, making it easy for anyone to grab wood when they need it, operating on a foundational belief that integrity still exists.
Every bundle they stack represents early mornings, sore hands, and a commitment to doing things the right way. They are learning firsthand what it means to run a business—from sourcing wood to building stands, to earning trust through an honor system. No cashier. No oversight. Just a small reminder that even a small business can help reinforce the best in people.
Even more important, Carson and Cameron want this to be bigger than themselves. A portion of what they earn helps other young entrepreneurs get started.
